Queen Elizabeth II
To acknowlege the passing of Canada’s former Head of State, Queen Elizabeth II, Champs Vallée students and staff will observe a moment of silence on Monday, September 19 following the regular playing of our national anthem. Where appropriate and expecially in grade levels where students learn about government, the role of the Head of State and constitutional monarchy may be discussed in class.
The Terry Fox Foundation
Champs Vallée teachers will be using Terry’s examples of courage, determination and compassion to help with lessons on citizenship and being change-makers.
We are challenging students and staff to each bring in a Toonie for Terry between now and September 29th. Our school goal is $2000.
Grade level donation containers (letters ECVS) have been set up in the Learning Commons. Students can stop by the Learning Commons to drop off their donation.
E – kindergarten and staff; C – grades 1-3; V – grades 4-6; and S – grades 7-9.
