    National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

    World Champion Hoop Dancer, storyteller, and motivational speaker, Dallas Arcand was our guest on Monday, September 26.
    Students were treated to locally-owned Native Delights Aboriginal Cuisine.

    The Terry Fox Foundation

    Champs Vallée teachers will be using Terry’s examples of courage, determination and compassion to help with lessons on citizenship and being change-makers. 

    Thank you for all the generous donations so far.

    Donations will still be accepted next week. An update on the total amount raised for the foundation will be shared soon.

    LDAA Cross-Country Running Event

    Champs Vallée students in Grades 3 to 9 competed in the event in Wetaskiwin on Tuesday.

    All the runners should be proud of their running and accomplishments.

    Congratulations to medalists: Rylan (1st place), Abiola (2nd place), and Jude (2nd).

    Hot Lunch

    Champs Vallée Hot Lunch ordering is now open for October – December, 2022 at ecvs.hotlunches.net
    This year will be a little different, we will offer hot lunches every other week, for a total of
    5 between now and the end of December.
    Ordering Dates:
    Orders will be accepted ONLY until Tuesday, Oct 4, 2022.  ALL ORDERS for those 3
    months must be placed and PAID by that date, or your order will not be include. All
    unpaid lunches will not be included when order is submitted to restaurants later that
    week.
    Payment Options:
    Our accepted payment options are:
    E-transfers.  Please use: [email protected] 
    At the bottom of E-transfer screen, please enter your “User Id” or the
    Parent’s name on the Hot Lunch account in the “Message” option. This is
    so we are able to match your payment with your order. 
    OR 
    PAYPAL – click “Pay with PayPal” button
    We do not accepting cheques or cash.
    Register your child every year:
    All usernames and passwords are deleted every year, please register again at the
    Login Screen “Click Here to Register”
    If your child is absent on a “lunch day”
    Hot lunch orders are non-refundable once ordered.  If your child is absent, please
    contact us at [email protected] or your child’s teacher by 10am on day of
    lunch and let us know what you want done with their order (ie. picking up or give to
    another child).  If not notified, your order will be given away to another child.

    Prime Minister’s Awards for Teaching Excellence and Teaching Excellence in STEM

    Amanda Green and Julie Arsenault

    This year, École Champs Vallée School teacher Amanda Green and Michael Strembitsky School teacher Julie Arsenault are receiving the Prime Minister’s Certificate of Achievement in STEM. The Certificate recognizes Ms. Green and Ms. Arsenault for being the spark of space exploration that ignites curiosity and a love for learning in their students.
