School Emergency Plan
Halloween
Students are welcome to dress-up and wear costumes to school on October 29th. Students are still required to wear a non-medical mask while wearing their costumes.
- Please make sure that your child’s costume is appropriate for school and respectful of all ages and the diversity of our school community.
- Please do not bring costumes with any real or fake weapons.
If you have any questions about the appropriateness of a costume, please ask your child’s teacher. We will do our best to share photos (respecting FOIP) so you can see your child’s class on Halloween
We are not encouraging parents to send treats to school to share on Halloween, but students may bring treats that are packaged in a government inspected facility, provided that they are not consumed at school and respect any food allergies in the classroom. We will let students know that any treats received must be brought home for their parents to inspect or limit as they see fit. Please reinforce this message with your child on October 29th.
Have a safe and happy Halloween!

For families wanting to send in manual orders, please have them returned to the school no later than Tuesday, October 26th.
Picture retake day will be on Wednesday, November 3rd. Kindergarten students can make arrangements with their teachers to have a retake on this day if needed.
Winter Clothing and Indoor Shoes
As temperatures cool, please ensure that your child has suitable outside clothing. We advise that all clothing items be labelled to assist with recovering lost items.
All students need indoor shoes suitable for use in the gym and for wearing around the inside of the school. Please check with your child on the status of their indoor shoes to make sure they are in good condition. Shoes and boots worn outside should be kept in the boot rooms during the day and should be worn home by students at the end of every day.
School Closure -November 8th to 12th
All Black Gold School will be closed from November 8th to 12th for a mid-term break.
Please be aware that at this time, unvaccinated children travelling outside of Canada can’t attend school for 14 days upon return to the country.
