Principal’s Message
The 2019-2020 school year had many wonderful learning experiences for our students both academically and through extracurricular activities. However, on March 15, 2020 the school routines that we were accustomed to ended quickly when all school buildings across the province were closed due to COVID-19 pandemic safety measures put in place by the Government of Alberta.
The school closures, social-distancing, and isolation measures put in place were unprecedented for the majority of our community. School staff, parents, and students all had to adjust to this rapid change and should be proud of how they responded. Students, parents, and educators leveraged technology and relationships to make remote learning work as best they could for each individual circumstance.
On behalf of our staff, I would like to thank our students and their families for your continued support and your resiliency during these unusual times. I would also like to thank our teachers and support staff for their adaptability in continuing to provide learning experiences for our students.
Our staff would like to wish all the Champs Vallée families a safe and happy summer. As well, we would like to wish all the best to our Grade 9 student moving to Grade 10 and any of our students moving away over the summer.
We look forward to welcoming students in September.
Have a Great Summer / Bonnes Vacances,
Patrick Gamache Hutchison

We encourage families in Grades 4-9 to consider the purchase of a personal student Chromebook or iPad. As always, Division purchased devices are available for limited in school use.

The school material recall will continue on June 22 and 23 between the hours of 8:30 am and 3:30 pm. This includes all library books, textbooks, sports uniforms, and classroom resources that were signed out by your child. All parents should have received a list of the materials currently on loan at the end of April. If there are textbooks or library materials missing or extra that your child has from that list please include a paper note explaining the details. If you are unable to return loaned items during this time please contact the school or your child’s teacher to make other arrangements. Decommissioned Chromebooks that were given out by the school should not be returned.
Collections bins will be placed curbside of the drive-thru or near the front entrance depending on weather conditions.
2020-2021 School Year, Transitions, and Classes

Staff are busy working on classroom placements for next year. Your child’s 2020-2021 class placement will be communicate to you in their year-end report card (an email for new students) that will be emailed on June 30, 2020.
