    September 23rd (Day 1):
    • Last Day to Order for Elementary Pizza Day for the following dates: September 26, October 3rd and October 10th
    • All girls Volleyball practice 3:10 pm
    September 24th (Day 2):
    • Junior Girls Volleyball first season game
    September 25th (Day 3):
    • Junior High Pizza Day for those who ordered. Orders for future days can be placed through PowerSchool
    • Intermediate Girls Volleyball practice 7 am
    • Sr & Jr Girls Volleyball practice 3:10 pm
    September 26th (Day 4):
    • Junior High Halloween dance committee meet in room 232 at lunch recess
    • Elementary Pizza lunch for those who ordered (Dominos). Orders for future days can be placed through PowerSchool.
    • Junior High Rock Band Practice 3:15-4:30
    September 27th (Day 5):
    • ECS Planning Day (No Kindergarten)
    • Orange Shirt Day 
    • Last Day to send Loonie and Toonie donations for Terry Fox
    • Grade 6 volleyball practice 3:15 – 4:15 pm.
    • Hot Lunch for those that order.  If you wish to order for future hot lunch days, please go to ecvs.hotlunches.net
    A reminder that there is no school on September 30th due to National Day for Truth & Reconciliation.

    2024-25 Student Verification Forms

    Dear Parents/Guardians,

    We are pleased to announce that the online 2024-2025 Student Enrollment Verification Form for Black Gold School Division will be live at 9:00AM September 6, 2024 on the PowerSchool Parent Portal. 

    It is essential that this verification process be completed before November 30th, 2024.  Completion of this form ensures that we have accurate information for emergency communication. If you fail to complete this form, your child’s ability to leave school grounds for walking field trips, as well as participating in class/team photos or being recognized in other school materials may be compromised. 

    In order to confirm your child’s registration with Black Gold School Division, you must have:  

    • An active PowerSchool Parent Portal Account.
    • An Internet connected computer, tablet or phone. 

    Important:  If you do not already have a parent portal account please contact your school, during school hours, for assistance.

    Black Gold School Division 

    Instructions:

    • Step 1: Visit https://powerschool.blackgold.ca/public
    • Step 2: Login using your Parent Access Account. 
    • Step 3: From the left-hand menu select “Student Enrollment Verification”. 
    • Step 4: Confirm the information is correct for each of your children registered with Black Gold School Division.  
    • Step 5: Repeat steps 1-4 for every one of your children registered within Black Gold School Division.

    Student Drop-Off & Pick-Up

    With over 900 people at the school each day, your help is appreciated to facilitate safe drop-offs and pick-ups.  

    Ways to assist:

    • Follow the direction of our crosswalk supervisors
    • If using the drive-through, follow the direction of the green arrows during peak times
    • Do not block the driveways of neighbouring residents
    • Review bike, scooter, and pedestrian safety with your child
    • Have a planned meeting spot away from high traffic locations 
    • Do not use the staff parking lot for drop-offs and pick-ups
