FCC DRIVE AWAY HUNGER
Tomorrow is the final day of food collection for our food drive. Thank you for the donations to date.
For easy reference, here are the most needed food items (according to Food Banks Canada):
- pasta, rice and sauces
- canned meats and fish
- meat alternatives (packaged nuts, peanut butter, soy)
- beans, soups and stews
- canned and powdered milk
- canned fruits and vegetables
- whole grain cereal
- infant foods and formula
- cooking supplies (flour, oil, spices)
- cash for food banks to purchase fresh items

JERSEY DAY
Friday, October 4th will be Jersey Day at Champs Vallée. Students and staff are encouraged to wear a sports jersey if they wish to participate.
MATH NIGHT
Champs Vallee School is hosting family math night for students in Kindergarten to Grade 6 on October 10th from 6:00pm – 7:00pm. We will be learning a variety of math games which will support number recognition, place value, addition/subtraction and multiplication/division strategies. We encourage all family members to join in the fun! Doors will open at 5:30pm for Tim Bits, coffee and hot chocolate! Tim Horton’s has graciously donated all of our yummy treats for this evening’s event. Each family will receive a handout of all the games presented and a FREE take home bag of math supplies provided by our local RBC. If you have any questions please direct them to [email protected]. Looking forward to supporting numeracy in a fun way. Let’s work together to make math exciting! Please answer all questions to ensure we have appropriate resources for our night.
