ECVS Ski Club at Rabbit Hill, Grades 5-9
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Ski Club will run on Thursdays for grade 5-9 students. It will begin after school until approximately 9pm at Rabbit Hill, with students being bussed to and from the hill (leaving from ECVS). Lessons, rentals, student’s abilities, cost, and other details will be confirmed after the break.

2024-25 Student Verification Forms
Dear Parents/Guardians,
We are pleased to announce that the online 2024-2025 Student Enrollment Verification Form for Black Gold School Division will be live at 9:00 AM on September 6, 2024, on the PowerSchool Parent Portal.
It is essential that this verification process be completed before November 30th, 2024. Completion of this form ensures that we have accurate information for emergency communication. If you fail to complete this form, your child’s ability to leave school grounds for walking field trips, as well as participating in class/team photos or being recognized in other school materials may be compromised.
In order to confirm your child’s registration with Black Gold School Division, you must have:
- An active PowerSchool Parent Portal Account.
- An Internet-connected computer, tablet or phone.
Important: If you do not already have a parent portal account please contact your school, during school hours, for assistance.

Black Gold School Division
Instructions:
- Step 1: Visit https://powerschool.blackgold.ca/public
- Step 2: Login using your Parent Access Account.
- Step 3: From the left-hand menu select “Student Enrollment Verification”.
- Step 4: Confirm the information is correct for each of your children registered with Black Gold School Division.
- Step 5: Repeat steps 1-4 for every one of your children registered within Black Gold School Division.
Student Drop-Off & Pick-Up
With over 900 people at the school each day, your help is appreciated to facilitate safe drop-offs and pick-ups.
Ways to assist:
- Follow the direction of our crosswalk supervisors
- If using the drive-through, follow the direction of the green arrows during peak times
- Do not block the driveways of neighbouring residents
- Review bike, scooter, and pedestrian safety with your child
- Have a planned meeting spot away from high-traffic locations
- Do not use the staff parking lot for drop-offs and pick-ups
NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO EXIT STRAIGHT OUT OF THE DRIVE-THRU ZONE
Loblaws Collect and Save Stamps
We want to thank all the families who have sent in their Loblaws stamps in support of our foods class. We have reached our goal and are no longer collecting anymore. Thanks for helping contribute!
Vacations
Students are expected to attend school on scheduled school days and take holidays according to the school year calendar. If parents/guardians choose to take their child out of school at times other than school holidays, teachers will not provide work for that time. Any missed work or tests will be made up when the student returns, at the teacher’s discretion.

Hot Lunch
Please visit ecvs.hotlunches.net to place your order for future hot lunch dates
Children who are eligible for immunizations may be immunized in the school setting with parent/guardian consent. Please check your child’s school bag for a package which contains information about the vaccines, along with a consent form for each vaccine. For your child to be immunized in school, consent must be provided to AHS staff verbally or each consent form must be signed and returned to your child’s school by the date indicated on the envelope.

*If your child is not present on the round date they may receive immunizations on other dates throughout the school year.
***If you are new to Alberta OR if your child has been immunized at your doctor’s office or pharmacy, AHS Public Health may not have a record of your child’s immunization
