- Grade 3 and 4 Boys track practice (ball throw) during lunch recess
- Last day for grade nine families to sign up for the Jasper year-end field trip

- Junior High high jump tryouts 11:25-12:15
May 22nd (Day 1):
- Grade 5 and 6 High Jump practice 3:15 – 3:45 pm

- Junior High long jump tryouts 11:25-12:15
May 23rd (Day 4):
- Grade 3 and 4 Boys track practice (long jump) during the first recess at the sandpit
- Grade 5/6 Black Gold High Jump Competition – 12:30 at ECVS
- Grade 6 skit practice for the musical
- 9G and 9Z will be heading to the fieldhouse at the rec center from 1-2pm
- Social Media and Youth Parent Night at Beaumont Comp 6:30 – 7:30 (Details below)

May 24th (Day 5):
- Grade 3 and 4 Girls track practice (long jump) during the last recess at the sandpit

Wellness Day – Thank you!
On Wednesday, May 1st, our students took part in our school’s fourth annual Wellness Day. A special thank you goes out to the following businesses, organizations, and people in the community who helped make our day extra special and successful: Chartier, Edmonton Police Service, The Arc, Beaumont Sport and Recreation Center, Element Yoga, Pure Wellness Studio, Activate, La Laser and Spa, and Thumbprint Designs!

Spring Weather
Please pack an extra pair of pants and socks in your child’s backpack. As spring weather begins, there are many wet and muddy areas on the playground and we often have students coming in requesting a change of clothes.
It is also a great time to ask your child(ren) if their indoor shoes still fit, are in good condition, or need to be replaced.

Student Absences
To notify the school of an absence or to sign your child out; please complete the ECVS: Online Absence Reporting Form
Updated Information
To ensure you are receiving pertinent information from the school please let the office know if you need to update your contact information including your phone numbers and email addresses.
AHS Immunizations Information
Children who are eligible for immunizations may be immunized in the school setting with parent/guardian consent. Please check your child’s school bag for a package which contains information about the vaccines, along with a consent form for each vaccine. For your child to be immunized in school, consent must be provided to AHS staff verbally or each consent form must be signed and returned to your child’s school by the date indicated on the envelope.

*If your child is not present on the round date they may receive immunizations on other dates throughout the school year.
***If you are new to Alberta OR if your child has been immunized at your doctor’s office or pharmacy, AHS Public Health may not have a record of your child’s immunizations. To ensure your child is up to date with all recommended immunizations refer to the schedule at https://www.alberta.ca/immunization-routine-schedule.aspx
