    Beaumont Christmas Elves

We are accepting donations for the Beaumont Christmas Elves at the schools.  Donations can be left labelled on our outside cart near the front entrance or next to our Christmas tree for students attending in-class.  Donations will be accepted at the school until Friday, December 11.

For more information on the Beaumont Christmas Elves or to make an online donation, visit  www.bnchristmaselves.ca  or   https://www.canadahelps.org/en/

    Christmas Concert/Spectacle de Noël

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we will be unable to host the traditional Elementary Christmas concerts at the school this year. However, as part of our Music, Drama, and Art curriculums, students and staff are planning on preparing a Christmas concert video that will be shared with our school community. To avoid any singing (COVID-19 restrictions), each class will be participating in an instrumental performance.
We will be recording the classes on Tuesday, December 15th.  That day will also be Red & Green Day at the school.  We encourage all students to wear red and/or green on that day for the performances.

If you have any concerns about your child’s class performance being shared publicly, please contact your child’s teacher or school administration.

    “At-Home Learning” and Absence Reporting

We would like to thank our junior high students, families, and teachers for quickly adapting to “At-Home Learning” with the new COVID-19 measures implemented by the Government of Alberta at the end of November.

We ask that parents of students in Grades 7, 8, and 9 continue to report absences to the school office (780-929-8888) if a student is unable to attend class for any reason.  Attendance is taken for each of the 6 periods during the junior high school day.  If a student is late or has an unexcused absence, parents receive an automated notifications from the school at 09:10 and 16:00.

All students will participate in “At-Home Learning” during the week of January 4 to 8.  Elementary teachers will communicate their plan for their class with parents in the coming days.

Families who do not have adequate technology for learning at home are welcome to borrow a school device during the at-home period.  Devices can be signed out using the PowerSchool Parent Portal and selecting Student Fees and Forms.  Once the form is complete, a device will be sent home with your child or you can arrange for curb-side pick-up.

    Parking and School-Zone Safety

Thank you for your support in continuing to use the designated drop-off and pick-up locations.  If using residential streets near the school, please be courteous by not blocking private driveways, using them for parking (without permission), or as turnaround points.
