    Holiday Break

As we come to our holiday break, we wish all our families and students a restful and joyous break. A reminder that the school will be closed from December 25th until January 7th. We look forward to seeing all the students in the new year on January 8th, 2024.

    ECVS Candy Cane Grams Fundraiser

The students participating in the 2024 trip to Yukon will be selling Candy Cane Grams from 11:30 am until 12:15 pm on December 14th, 15th, 18th, and 19th. Proceeds raised will support the entire group’s trip! If you’d like to have your child purchase a Candy Cane Gram (a candy cane with a Holiday note) please have them bring $2 in cash outside of the office on those dates. They will pick their holiday note and designate their gram to one person in the school. All Candy Cane Grams will then be delivered before the Holiday break on December 21st and 22nd.

    ECVS Drive Away Hunger Campaign

We are kicking off our Drive Away Hunger campaign for the Leduc & District Food Bank.

All Champs Vallée classes are encouraged to participate in the “food drive” by bringing in food items to be collected and delivered.

All food items will be collected by the Leduc Food Bank on December 21st. That being said, we are asking that all food items be brought into the school no later than December 20th. Any food donations are greatly appreciated.

While any non-perishable food item is welcomed, we are also encouraging students to bring cereal boxes as we are hoping to attempt a fun, school-wide cereal-box-domino-challenge before they are sent off.

    Fundraising Society Bottle Drive

Share your holiday cheer with the Champ Vallée Fundraising Society Bottle Drive!

We are eager and excited to kick off phase 2 of our outdoor classroom project, spring 2024. This phase will include an overhead structure to shelter outdoor learnings year round.

Saturday, January 6th from 10 am to 2 pm, please consider dashing over to ÉCVS to drop off your empties from the holiday season.  There will be vehicles parked at the front of the school to collect donations.

All proceeds collected from our bottle drive will go towards the completion of our outdoor classroom project.

Every family that contributes will be entered into a draw for a Landmark Cinema movie night out!

    Student Drop-Off & Pick-Up

With over 900 people at the school each day, your help is appreciated to facilitate safe drop-offs and pick-ups.

    Ways to assist:

    • Follow the direction of our crosswalk supervisors
    • If using the drive-through, follow the direction of the green arrows during peak times
    • Do not block the driveways of neighbouring residents
    • Review bike, scooter, and pedestrian safety with your child
    • Have a planned meeting spot away from high traffic locations
    • Do not use the staff parking lot for drop-offs and pick-ups

    Cold Weather Clothing

With the snow starting to fall, please remember that it’s important to ensure students are dressed for the weather. This includes tuques, mitts, warm coats and proper footwear. Students are outside for recess and at the beginning and end of the day so please ensure that they are prepared to stay warm outside.

    Student Absences

To notify the school of an absence or to sign your child out;  please complete the ECVS: Online Absence Reporting Form

    Updated Information

To ensure you are receiving pertinent information from the school please let the office know if you need to update your contact information including your phone numbers and email addresses.

    Spreading the Voyageur Spirit

If you have a child who has outgrown their Voyageur apparel and would like to share the school spirit with others, please send your clean apparel to school and bring it to Miss Thompson. We will be offering students, who may not otherwise have the opportunity, to choose an item to show their school spirit.
