FORTIS POWER OUTAGE IN FOUR SEASONS ESTATES
Fortis has confirmed with Black Gold Schools that Champs Vallée will not be part of the planned outage on Wednesday, April 18th. We should not experience any electrical interruptions to our day.
STUDENT PHOTOGRAPHS
Thank you to the families that have signed-up their children to participate in the upcoming
“Imagine That Photographics” photoshoot on Wednesday, April 23, 2018.
The photographs taken will be used for the purpose of building public awareness, promoting School and Division programs, or promoting public education. Some photographs will focus on only one or two students or staff, while others will focus on larger groups or wide photos of the entire classroom.
If you would like your child to be considered as a subject for the photos and would consent to have Imagine That Photographics, Black Gold Regional Division No. 18 and Black Gold Regional Schools take photographs please email Tamara LeBlanc to have the permission form added to PowerSchool.
THEME DAY
On Wednesday, April 18th students and staff will be encouraged to have a “Garbageless” lunch with minimal disposable packaging. As well, it will be “Time Warp Day” with clothes from a different decade.

Students who will be new to Champs Vallée during the 2018-2019 school year are invited to our Spring Open House on May 28th from 6:00 to 6:30 P.M.

We are configured for Prekindergarten to Grade 8 for the 2018-2019 School Year, and Pre-K to Grade 9 for 2019-2020.

École Champs Vallée School, in partnership with the Champs Vallée Fundraising Society have been working towards designing and raising funds for a playground for the new school. Various fundraising initiatives have taken place and are upcoming. One of our fundraising initiatives is to encourage donations to the playground using
Acorn Online Payments through the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Donors will have the option of receiving a tax receipt for the donation.
Online donation amounts are set at $25, $50, $100, $250, and $500.

FAMILY MATH NIGHT
Champs Vallée will be hosting a family math night for students in Kindergarten to Grade 6 on Thursday May 10th from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm. We will be learning a variety of math games which will support number recognition, place value, addition/subtraction and multiplication/division strategies based on the award winning program Box Cars and One Eyed Jacks. We encourage all family members to join in the fun!
Doors will open at 5:30pm for Tim Bits, coffee, and hot chocolate! Tim Horton’s has graciously donated all of our yummy treats for this evenings events and McDonald’s has donated coupons for our families participating.
Each family will receive a handout of all the games presented and a free take home bag of math supplies provided by our local RBC.
