How do I keep my kids safe online? What is For Your Eyes Only? How do I make sure my child’s location settings aren’t on?
This presentation is designed for caregivers to learn about the fast-changing world of online safety and its potential dangers. They will cover safety tips for current social media platforms and gaming sites, including TikTok, Snapchat, and Discord. They also deep dive with parents into the world of online sexual exploitation, providing communication and prevention strategies to encourage safety wherever possible.
Be Scent-sitive
We have students and staff who have allergies and sensitivities to some perfumes and strong scents. We ask that all students and staff be considerate to how strong scents may negatively affect others in shared spaces.
Recess Equipment
We encourage students to bring their own basketballs, soccer balls, footballs, and other equipment suitable for school recess to use this year. Please make sure equipment is clearly labeled with their name.
Terry Fox Run
Students can continue to bring in a donation for the Terry Fox Foundation until Friday, September 22nd. Our school goal is $835.
Our school walk and assembly on September 14th was a great success!
Student Drop-Off & Pick-Up
With over 900 people at the school each day, your help is appreciated to facilitate safe drop-offs and pick-ups.
Ways to assist:
- Follow the direction of our crosswalk supervisors
- If using the drive-through, follow the direction of the green arrows during peak times
- Do not block the driveways of neighbouring residents
- Review bike, scooter, and pedestrian safety with your child
- Have a planned meeting spot away from high traffic locations
- Avoid using the staff parking lot for drop-offs and pick-ups
