October 24th (Day 2):
- Grade 6 boys and girls volleyball at lunch recess
- Grade 6 Chess Club in Mrs. Duru’s room during last recess
- Picture Retakes
- Junior Girls Volleyball Game in Calmar after school.
- Intermediate Girls Volleyball Game here at ECVS after school.
- Sr boys volleyball practice @ 7:15
- Last day to buy Halloween Dance admission tickets on Power School!
October 25th (Day 3):
- School Interviews Website Open for Parent Teacher Conferences (closes Nov. 1st)
- Junior and Intermediate boys Volleyball Practice @7am
- Jr Girls Volleyball Serving Practice in the gym @ 11:25am
- Jr High Chess Club @11:25 in rm.145
- Halloween Dance planning committee meeting in room 229 @11:30-12:15

- Grade 6 girls volleyball tournament @ Father Leduc School in Leduc (Fri. and Sat.)
- Senior Girls’ Volleyball Practice 3:20-5:00pm
- Halloween Family Dance! Doors open at 6pm!
- Sr Boys & Girls volleyball tournament taking place @ Dansereau
Halloween Dance
Get your dancing shoes ready because the Halloween dance is coming! Please see the flyer below for all the details. Please note that admission and food/game tickets will be available on Powerschool starting on October 16th and go until the 24th. Food and game tickets are also available at the door, cash only. We are still looking for volunteers (sign up here) and donations (see this letter) to make this event supporting the grade 9 field trips and the 7-9 Yukon trip!
Photo Retakes
If your child missed photo day or requires retakes, photo retakes are on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. Please just let your child’s homeroom teacher know that you would like your child to have retakes so that they are aware to send them. Please bring previous pictures proofs if available, however this is not required.
Halloween Costumes
Students are welcome to dress-up and wear costumes to school on October 31st.
- Please make sure that your child’s costume is appropriate for school and respectful of all ages and the diversity of our school community.
- Please do not bring costumes with any real or fake weapons.
If you have any questions about the appropriateness of a costume, please ask your child’s teacher.
If you are sending in any treats for your child’s class, please ensure that they respect any food allergies within the classroom and the school as a whole.
