March 4th (Day 1):

  • Yukon students need to visit Miss Zaremba throughout the day for their hoodies

March 6th (Day 3):
  • Grade 8/9 Girls Basketball Practice @7 AM

  • Vaping: What Parents Need to Know Virtual Presentation
  • Grade 5/6 Running Room Indoor Games at the Butterdome (bus – 12:45 – 5:45 pm)

March 7th (Day 4):
  • After School Ski Club at Rabbit Hill
  • Book Fair Open until 6:30 PM – Parents welcome to shop 3:15pm-6:30pm
March 8th (Day 5):
  • No school for Kindergarten
  • Yukon Trip Departs – be at airport by 4:30pm
  • Book Fair Closes
  • Parent Teacher Interviews – Booking Website closes (4pm)
  • Little Caesar’s hot lunch 

It’s Book Fair Season! 

Our Book Fair will take place in the Learning Commons from March 4th to 8th. Students will be able to shop during their assigned library block, along with after school on March 7th, from 3:15 to 5:00pm (*Parents may also visit during this time). 


Grade 4 – 6 Ski Day

On March 22, 2024, our school is organizing a ski day at Rabbit Hill Ski Resort. 

Date: March 22, 2024

Location: Rabbit Hill Ski Resort

Time: Full day excursion (9:00 AM – 2:30 PM)

Activities: Skiing and snowboarding

Cost: Please refer to the PowerSchool as the price will vary based on rentals and hill passes. 

Parents can register their child and pay through PowerSchool, the last day to register will be March 15, 2024. 


Ski Club

ECVS is offering an after-school Ski club to students in grades 5-9.  Students have the option online to rent gear or bring their own, buy a ski pass or bring their own, and lessons are available. If you’d like to register your child, please visit their online portal for full details. The last ski club will be held March 21st. Registration deadline is March 15th.


Vaping: What Parents Need to Know

The Southern Alberta Professional Development Consortium is holding a FREE virtual session for parents On March 6th from 7:00 – 8:30 titled Vaping: What Parents Need to Know.  The presenters are from Alberta Health Services Healthy Schools and Population Health Promotion team.

Science Night

APEGA (The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta) will host a FREE science night on April 10 between 6 and 8 pm at Ecole Champs Vallee School. Due to the large number of people, we ask families to stagger entry.

We have asked that:  

K-3 starts at 6 pm

4+ starts at 7 pm

You may choose which works best for your family if you have children in both age categories. Please RSVP by April 1st to ensure we have enough supplies.
