Student Drop-Off & Pick-Up
With over 900 people at the school each day, your help is appreciated to facilitate safe drop-offs and pick-ups.
Ways to assist:
- Follow the direction of our crosswalk supervisors
- If using the drive-through, follow the direction of the green arrows during peak times
- Do not block the driveways of neighbouring residents
- Review bike, scooter, and pedestrian safety with your child
- Have a planned meeting spot away from high-traffic locations
- Do not use the staff parking lot for drop-offs and pick-ups
Updated Information
To ensure you are receiving pertinent information from the school, please let the office know if you need to update your contact information, including your phone numbers and email addresses.

Calendar Date Change
Black Gold has announced changes to the following two dates on the district calendar. Both November 3rd and December 1st, which were originally scheduled as PD days, will now be regular instructional days. Please have the students attend on those days.
Halloween Dance Returns
Although the Halloween dance was cancelled, we are very grateful to the families who generously made donations from our Amazon Wish List. If you would like to reclaim and return your items, please let us know if you would like to pick them up by Friday, October 31st, at 4 pm to return them or if you would rather let us keep them as a donation for next year. Please email Amanda Green, and she will help arrange a time at [email protected]
Jr High STEM Trip - May 2026
Calling all grade 7-9 students! We are planning a STEM-themed trip to Montreal and Ottawa! Please see the slideshow for more details. Check out the trip itinerary, including circus school, architecture adventures, Parliament Hill and a sugar shack! We might even be able to visit the Canadian Space Agency! It should be over the May-long weekend in 2026 - 6 days total. This opportunity is for students who can travel on their own, and we may be able to have a limited number of parent chaperones. We will have future meetings about fundraising, chaperones, rooming, packing, and more next school year. There are only 13 spots left, so make sure to sign up soon!
