    CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

Construction is continuing to progress well.   An update on a move in date should be released soon.

    MISSION IMPOSSIBLE

We had an awesome Phys. Ed. activity last week.  Student tried to complete the Mission Impossible obstacle course.  This courses required the students to use the fundamental movement skills they have been practicing in PE this year. Take a look at a few pictures of the incredible fun and learning that took place.

    NOON SKATING

Beginning on Friday, December 8th and continuing every Monday and Friday (weather and ice conditions permitting), Champs Vallée staff will be supervising students who wish to skate over their lunch recess (11:35-12:00) at the Bellevue rink.  Students who participate should be fairly independent at putting on and tying their own skates and helmet, but assistance will be provided if needed. If there is sufficient interest, a portion of the ice will be designated for students with face masks to play in a game of “shinny” hockey using plastic sticks and a soft foam puck. Students are not permitted to bring their own hockey or ringette sticks. A portion of the ice will always be designated for skating. Parent volunteers are welcome to help tie skates and participate.
If students wish to participate, they must have skates, gloves, and a CSA approved skating helmet.  If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to email [email protected]

    CHRISTMAS CONCERT UPDATE

    Christmas Concert Evening Information
This year, we have numerous performance times to help ease large crowds in the gym.

Parking: we are permitted to use the Community Centre lot across the
street but please allow for extra time as we will have cars coming and
going all evening around the area.

Please enter/exit the school on concert night through your child’s boot room doors.  We request that you remove your outdoor footwear.  Please consider bringing indoor shoes or slippers to wear inside.

Classroom doors will be open for 15 minutes before the concert start time and for 15 minutes after the concert ends.
Students can be picked up in their classrooms after the concert.  The exit for students and all spectators will be through the south gymnasium
doors.  This will allow the next audience (waiting on Main Street) to enter safely and ease congestion.
The doors to the gym will be opened for parents to enter 5 minutes before the concert time.  The gym will be emptied of spectators between concerts except for parents who have children in back to back concerts.

Student’s attire is at the parent’s discretion.
