Champs Vallée Grade 9 Farewell Fundraising Bottle Drive

Our Grade 9 Farewell Committee is looking to raise funds to help offset some of the expenses related to our COVID-friendly farewell celebration this year.

We are hosting a Drop-Off Bottle Drive on Sunday, April 11th, from 1pm to 4pm, when the Bottle Depot truck will be here at Champs Vallée.  Please consider coming by the school (front drive-thru) with some bottles and help us fill the truck!

We appreciate the continued support from our school community!

Thank you from the Farewell Committee.

    CYF Caregiver Education April Newsletter

CYF Caregiver Education Newsletter – April 2021

The AHS Children, Youth and Families – Addiction and Mental Health Caregiver Education Team is proud to offer free mental health programming for parents and caregivers of children and youth through our partnership with the Mental Health Foundation. In response to the global pandemic, our programming continues to be offered virtually at this time.

Please feel free to share this information with parents, caregivers, educators, community members, and professionals who would like to learn more about child/youth mental health topics.

See the attached newsletter for more information on topics, dates, times, and registration.

These 90 minute online sessions are intended to provide parents, caregivers, teachers, and community members with introductory information regarding mental health challenges that can affect children and youth. This month includes new online offerings looking at topics that include test anxiety, autism, as well as ADHD and Executive Functioning Skills. Sessions are for an adult audience with the exception of our session on test anxiety where teens are welcome to attend with their caregivers.

This month’s 60 minute lunchtime webinars include our four-part series on anxiety, a two-part series on mindfulness and a session on supporting adolescents with depression.

Over April and May, we will be running our Mental Health and Resiliency series, starting with a look at how we can foster resiliency in our children and youth through secure routines, strong connections, and positive communication.
